St Michael at the Northgate. A rare Norman age church on junction of Cornmarket and Ship Street.
St Michael at the Northgate was originally built around 1000–1050, with the tower of 1040 still in existence, the church is Oxford’s oldest building. It used to form part of the city’s north wall.
