Some photos of Crocus and spring bulbs taken in February, St Johns College, Oxford
St John’s College is one of Oxford University’s most prestigious colleges; it was founded in 1555 and is reputed to be one of the wealthiest colleges. In spring, it’s gardens are well worth visiting for its naturalised bulbs. I visited in February when the crocus were in full flower. In a few weeks, the daffodils will be coming out.

Oxford has many wildlife meadows which have managed to escape the property developer and modern chemical farming.
There are still places around oxford where you can find traditional meadows with a range of wildflowers like this delightful Fritillary. (This photo was taken from Oxford Botanic Gardens)
